Work directly with manufacturing management on develop of Area Budgets at all levels of planning detail: Control Account / Work Package / Job and Resource.
Seated in the production area, develop and manage Control Account Plans for Operations Management.
Establish and maintain rate calculations used to allocate budget downward to the WO level.
Adjust Work Package budgets for changes in work scope and externally funded change
Track change work and insure that it is properly funded and budgeted prior to the trades starting work, including Class II change identification, estimating and compensation.
Maintain Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) for all Work Packages within Control Accounts
Monitor Earned Value Metrics and make recommendations to CAM for areas of concern and need for corrective action. Track corrective action results.
Perform Variance Analysis and assist Control Account Manager (CAM) in documenting Variance Cause and Corrective Actions
Ensure that progress reporting systems accurately reflect the status of work accomplished with the area of responsibility.
Monitor the data integrity of EVM data. Make corrections as necessary to clean up data errors
Monitor Planning Package time-phasing and make corrections to time-phased budgets before they enter the current period (beyond time now).
Monitor Labor Charging for errors, resolve Labor Suspense and promote complete and correct entry of Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP)
Support area management by providing reports and analyses to aid in operational decision making
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (concentration in Computer Science a plus) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with construction processes of heavy industry preferred
MacPac, PBOM and MRP process knowledge desired
Ability to communicate cost, schedule, resource budget issues to management
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with multi-task job functions
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented work environment
Knowledge of Earned Value Management and establishing meaningful project metrics desired
Excellent computer skills with emphasis on MS Excel, Access, Power Point and Project Management scheduling tools (i.e. Artemis Project View, Deltek Open Plan Professional and Primavera)
