Provide all aspects of Trade Planning to Manufacturing for 2nd shift machine operations at the East Brunswick Manufacturing Facility (EBMF). Successful candidates will be expected to provide technical assistance to the machine operations team in determining executable work, providing necessary documentation to accomplish that work, research material, determining material availability, and ordering material as needed. Also including bill of material development and job packaging. Depending on specific assignments, job will consist of varying levels of office, shop floor, and onboard work. A physical job task analysis is available at the time of interview.
High school diploma/GED required
Graduate of BIW Manufacturing or Design Apprentice preferred.
Three years' experience in planning, manufacturing and/or design with a strong background in material control and inventory storage practices preferred; and/or a college degree in a technical, business or management related field.
Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other technical documents required.
Competent usage of common PC-based systems (Microsoft Office, etc.) required.
Strong knowledge of BIW work management systems (MACPAC, ESS, JIRA, FLOC, etc.) preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Satisfactory work history (discipline/attendance)
Must meet all requirements of the physical task analysis for Material Planner in manufacturing environment.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
