This candidate will have ownership of our plant's electrical infrastructure and support facility projects that ensure its reliability for both current and future needs. These responsibilities will include day to day technical support for activities within the electrical trades, providing for design and installation within applicable codes and standards. The successful applicant will also be experienced in machinery in terms of VFDs, PLCs and other controlling functions. This work will all be coordinated within the Facilities Division to ensure daily and long term projects are carried out within cost and schedule while ensuring adherence to our union agreement.

Required/Preferred Education/Training

  • BS in Engineering required. Electrical or Electronics Engineering Strongly preferred.
  • Professional Certificates or Licenses a plus
  • Experience in the marine industry is preferred

Required/Preferred Experience

• Ability to develop, and implement Facilities projects.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E and applicable local, state and federal codes
• Minimum of 5-years electrical/electronics work experience in industrial/commercial setting.
• Experience with Distributed Control System (DCS) and Computerized Numerical Controls (CNC)
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and A/C, D/C variable speed drives.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Plant maintenance experience within a manufacturing facility a plus.
• PC skills mandatory (Microsoft office products a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict.
