Job Description

-Nursing assessment of injured/ill employees using established protocols
-Medical surveillance for selected employees, includes: spirometry, audiometry, vision and
modified physical examinations
-Occupational health nursing activities within the manufacturing units addressing employees 
who are at modified work or who are otherwise not able to perform all the essential
functions of the work
-Environmental health activities will include ergonomics, toxicological and exposure issues

-Providing education / onsite training to groups or individuals

-Team collaboration with management / workers comp.       

Required/Preferred Education/Training

-BS in an approved nursing program acceptable to State of Maine licensing criteria 
-Current license to practice nursing in the state of Maine required
-BLS/ACLS certification required

-COHN desired/ willingness to obtain certification within 2 years of hire

Required/Preferred Experience

-Minimum of two years’ experience as a nursing professional
-Emergency/Urgent Care/ICU/Ambulatory care experience necessary
-Able to work effectively in a blue collar/union represented environment
-Must be physically able to access ships/construction units in various stages of construction
-Computer literacy is required

-Experience with an EMR is preferred

-Must be able to work flexible hours
