Schlotterbeck & Foss is New England's oldest food-service manufacturer of condiments, sauces, dressings, salsas and ice-cream-topping ingredients. We are currently seeking a full time Filler Line Operator to join our company.
The Filler Line Operator receives prepared product from cook/mixers and operates equipment that packs and labels the product.
Responsibilities include receiving product from cook/mixers and operating the packaging equipment without losing integrity of the product through the entire packing process. Maintaining accurate documentation of batch cards and any supporting documentation.
Coordinate other line operators, line workers, and agency workers in the operation of the packing equipment from loading of empty containers to palletizing of filled containers.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the quality of the packing process from appropriate fill levels and specified weights, to proper capping, shrink banding, labeling, and cleanliness of the packed container.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday and start times may begin as early as 5:00 AM and finish times as late as 6:00 PM (or until finish). At times, it may be required that work be outside of the normal work schedule, including weekends.

A High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Must have sufficient mechanical skills to set up equipment, perform changeovers and adjust controls to keep equipment operative at optimal efficiency. Proficiency with arithmetic and utilization of a calculator as well as the capabilities of dealing with multiple facets of production equipment without losing control of any of the functions are a must.
Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (10 hours or more).
Frequent physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and stooping. Must be able to lift 65 lbs.
