Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center (DDPC) is a 51 bed psychiatric hospital serving the State’s geographic area that provides services for people with severe mental illness. As a member of a state wide community of care givers, DDPC collaborates with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and their community and personal supports to provide recovery oriented, respectful, compassionate, and effective psychiatric care and treatment in the last restrictive, safest, and most therapeutic environment we can create.
Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center, a state psychiatric facility located in Bangor, Maine has embarked on a sustained campaign to recruit energetic recovery-focused psychiatrists with an interest in driving continuous performance improvement and contributing their dedicated leadership skills to moving the hospital to a standard of clinical, administrative academic excellence.
Possession of a current license to practice medicine in the State of Maine and National Board Certification in Psychiatry. Must have experience as a hospital psychiatrist and experience in treating individuals with serious and persistent mental illness and co-morbid substance abuse disorders.
Current licensure to practice medicine in the State of Maine and National Board Certification in Psychiatry.
