Background experience working with people with Intellectual, Physical and Mental Health disabilities & Autism is preferred.  Must be willing to monitor and support the consumer's safety and care and follow recommendations and goals of their PCP (Person Centered Plan).   Employment at MERT Enterprises, Inc. is contingent upon having a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.  Applicants must be able to furnish proof of the highest level of education completed.  Applicants will also need to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record (DMV) check, APS (Adult Protective Services), CPS (Child Protective Services) check and professional reference check.  Personal vehicle use is required as-needed to transport our consumers – your vehicle must seat four people comfortably and vehicle should be available 24/7.  Additionally, applicant should have good, legible handwriting skills and strong reading comprehension skills to document daily information.  Verbal communication skills are essential to provide information to others.  Applicants should also understand they will be responsible for administering daily medications to our consumers.   Our Entry Level Pay Rate with no prior experience is $11.10/hr.  Applicants already having prior DSP work experience and CRMA, DSP, First Aid/CPR or Safety-Care certifications may have their starting pay rate adjusted upward based on related work experience and current certifications.  Mileage is reimbursed for personal vehicle use, tolls, etc.  Vacation and time off is accrued according to length of service.  CRMA and DSP certification is required in the first year of employment and is fully-paid by MERT.      Apply using our online Employment Application at:  https://www.mertenterprises.org/careers/   Or, stop by our office & fill out application Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:00pm at MERT Enterprises, Inc. 233 Bomarc Road in Bangor.  You can also call our office for us to mail you an Employment Application at 207-942-4585, fax a resume to us at 207-942-1574, or email your resume to:  Scott.Lynskey@mertenterprises.org                                AA/EOE
